MANUSCRIPT FORMATTING CHECKLIST
A quick pre-submission pass — from WriteTogetherHub

[ ] Standard font (Times New Roman or similar), 12pt, double-spaced
[ ] 1-inch margins on all sides
[ ] Title page with title, your name, and contact/agent details
[ ] Consistent chapter heading style throughout
[ ] Page numbers in the header or footer
[ ] Scene breaks marked consistently (e.g. a centered #)
[ ] One space after a period, not two
[ ] Consistent tense and point of view checked chapter by chapter
[ ] Spell-check and a read-aloud pass for rhythm and typos
[ ] File named clearly: Title_YourLastName.docx (or per submission guidelines)
[ ] Word count included on the title page if requested by the publisher/agent
